Search Methods to narrow your results

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

sorrel horse

finds documents containing 'sorrel' or 'horse

sorrel or horse

same as above

sorrel and horse

finds documents containing both 'sorrel' and 'horse'

sorrel not horse

finds documents containing 'sorrel' but not 'horse'

(sorrel not horse) and fungus

finds documents containing 'fungus', plus 'sorrel' but not 'horse'

paint*

finds documents containing words starting with 'paint'
